North Surrey Recreation Centre

October 10, 2018: Due to a notice by Fortis BC to request customers to reduce natural gas usage following a natural gas pipeline rupture near Prince George, BC, the City will be making changes at all civic facilities to reduce energy use. The City will be lowering temperatures in all civic facilities by 1⁰C, effective immediately. Facilities with pools will have pool temperatures lowered by 1⁰C.

    Weight Room 1:  Move from station to station in the weight room. Use a variety of equipment to improve cardio and strength. 

  • Swim - Drop In Aquafit - 13+ 9:30AM - 10:30AMexpand

    Main Pool - Shallow 12.5m - Lane 2A:  Challenge yourself with this higher impact Aquafit workout that helps further develop your cardio, strength and endurance. Previous Aquafit experience is recommended but not required.

    MP2 Fitness Studio:  Combine a variety of formats such as step, high/low, cardio drills or cardio kickbox, including muscle conditioning.

    Main Pool - Shallow 12.5m - Lane 2A:  A no impact class using gentle movements and light cardio to help improve your balance and range of motion.

    MP2 Fitness Studio:  Place emphasis on strengthening your major core muscles, improve balance and core stability.

    MP1 Preschool Room:  Supervised child minding services in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment are designed for children whose parents want to be active in programs onsite. Parents must remain in the building.

North Surrey Recreation Centre is a fully accessible facility conveniently located next to Surrey Central Skytrain, Central City Shopping Centre and the City Centre Library.

Open seven days a week, the recreation centre offers registered and drop-in fitness and aquatic programs, multi-purpose rooms, on-site physiotherapy, and free wi-fi for everyone in the community from preschool to seniors. Paid parking is available nearby.

Use your recreation pass at any facility for drop-in: swim, skating, fitness, weights, sports and more! Fees are valid from September 1, 2018, to August 31, 2019, and are subject to change without notice. Our 1-month and 1-year passes are valid at all City-operated facilities. All prices include taxes.

    Recreation passes can be purchased online by visiting online registration.

    The City of Surrey also offers a Leisure Access Program to provide passes at a reduced cost to residents in financial need.

    Browse the Fall Aquatic Drop In Schedule for public swim times and aquafit classes. All patrons are now required to present a Recreation Passcard before entering a City of Surrey indoor pool.

    Our main pool features is 37 meters long with six lanes and also includes a 3-meter diving board, rope swing, and water-walkway. The kid's pool ranges from 1.5 to 2.5 feet deep and has a slide and water toys. The hot tub is equipped with air jets to offer a relaxing massage.

    • 33 pieces of cardio equipment including spin bikes, ellipticals and treadmills
    • 24 pieces of strength training equipment including a TRX suspension trainer & weight machines
    • Dumbbells up to 75 pounds and barbells up to 110 pounds
    • Personal training available

    Our staff offer orientations to introduce you to the facility and equipment and personal training.
