Volunteer Water Meter Sign Up Form

Owners of a single family home can sign up for a free meter as part of Surrey's Volunteer Water Meter Program and start saving money for the water you consume. Not sure if metering is for you? Check out the estimated savings you could access based on the number of people in your household.

Multi Family Strata Dwellings can have a single meter installed at the property line to feed the entire complex. The strata benefits by paying only for the water consumed. If you live in a multi-family dwelling or strata complex, learn about multi-family (strata) dwelling water meter installation.

Home Installation Process

By registering, you are authorizing the City to assess your property for a water meter installation. The City's goal is to install the water meter in a timely and cost-effective manner. However, some properties may require additional preparation and maintenance work, which will delay the installation process.

Please allow 2-8 weeks for meter installation. If you have already paid the annual utility bill for this year, your account will be pro-rated and the credit that is left from the day the meter is installed will be applied to your metered bill.

Some dwellings may not be eligible for an outside water meter. If this is the case, we will install the water meter inside the house.

Call 1-877-666-3837 for questions about installation and scheduling.
