Traffic Pattern Changes

King George Boulevard and 88 Avenue

A 24-hour, 7 day/week traffic pattern change is in effect at King George Boulevard and 88 Avenue to facilitate the replacement of the Bear Creek Bridge's existing timber trestle bridge. The bridge replacement was originally anticipated to be completed towards the end of November, 2018. However, due to poor weather causing construction delays, there is approximately three weeks of construction remaining consisting of asphalt paving and concrete sidewalk work.

Although this work can be completed in three weeks, favorable weather conditions are needed to allow for the paving work to be completed (dry and warm weather, 10+ degrees is required for paving). As we are uncertain when we will get these temperatures, the project completion date has been changed to the spring.
